Job Title: Diversion Counselor
Provides a variety of professional counseling and case management services including assessment, individual, family, and group therapy to juvenile and adult offenders and their families, and experiential therapies specific to juveniles, in the 18th Judicial District through the District Attorney’s Office. Ability to coordinate with community agencies/resources, facilitate meetings with outside providers on behalf of the client, understand and explain clinical issues and program components to clients, families and outside agencies.Master's degree required in counseling, couples and families therapy, social work or closely related human services field, current mental health license preferred. Seeking a full juvenile provider certified with the SOMB or in the process of obtaining certification. Spanish-speaking preferred. Starting salary for this position is $50,000 a year, plus benefits. Job Title: Victim Witness Specialist - District Court
Victim Witness has an opening for a Victim/Witness Specialist in the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. Performs semi-complex telephone and in-person contact work with felony crime victims and witnesses, in order to educate them about their rights during the criminal justice process. Supports Deputy District Attorneys in the preparation, organization and prosecution of criminal cases through a variety of responsibilities. Bachelor’s degree in victim assistance, human services, criminal justice or closely related field AND four (4) years’ experience as an advocate/specialist with a specialized docket in a District Court setting. Comparable education and experience in the District Attorney’s discretion meets or exceeds the above criteria. Starting salary for this position is $43,000 a year, plus benefits.
